Skype / Zoom Guitar Lessons
Are Online Lessons Right For Me?
The internet is flooded with more great guitar content than ever. Heck, I've posted about this type of stuff for years over on my newsletter.
But learning solely from these types of lessons can leave you without a great map to move forward with getting better at guitar. Having a teacher is the best way to develop a roadmap to understand what to practice, and when.
I've been teaching guitar for nearly 20 years, and over that time have developed a fun way to get better at guitar. Exercises are always helpful, but I personally like to use the student's favorite songs, and pick apart bits and pieces of them to understand technique, songwriting, and more.
I teach a wide range of students from beginners to intermediate players, and from every type of age group.
What Will I Learn?
After having taught for so long, I've understood that not every student has the same objective as the others. Some want to play live shows and get really good at instrumental guitar, others just want to sit around and relax playing their favorite songs on acoustic guitar. The lessons are always tailored to your needs.
We'll go over:
- Understanding songwriting
- How to read notation and guitar tab
- How to make your phrases sound better with technique
- How to break down tough phrases, by breaking them up into smaller parts
- Basic chords and scales (open chords, major, minor, pentatonic and more)
- How to transcribe your licks, and build a "lick library", and why recording yourself is so important
- ...and so much more!
How Much Do They Cost & What Do I Need?
The lessons are only $33 for a half an hour or $55 for a full hour. I'm also running a new promotion on group lessons. If you get together 4-6 students (max), a full hour will only cost you $30 per person.
Here's everything you'll need to take part in the lesson:
- A solid internet connection
- Your guitar (acoustic or electric)
- Webcam, mic and headphones
- Skype or Zoom (latest version)
- A pencil and paper for notes
